George III Cased Sterling Silver Tea Set

hallmarked London, 1789-1790, by William Plummer (the cream jug 1790-1791, by John Robins), including a teapot, h. 6-1/4", l. 10", a teapot stand, l. 6-3/4", w. 4-3/4", a sugar basket, h. 4-1/4", l. 6-1/2", a tea basket, h. 3-5/8", l. 5", and a cream jug, h. 4-1/4", l. 4-3/4", each of cavetto-canted square section with fluted corners, and decorated with engraved and bright-cut paterae banding, the teapot with gadrooned conical spout, squared crested handle and domed lid with pineapple finial, the baskets each with swing handle, gilt interior and raised on a conforming pedestal foot, the cream jug with gilt interior and strap handle, each engraved with a crest of a demi-lion rampant holding a sabre (the cream jug with wolf's head couped), presented in a later fitted green moire- and velvet-lined taupe poplin case, 5-1/4" x 21" x 16".
