George III Mahogany Bowfront Sideboard, late 18th century, the banded and bowed top above a conforming case fitted a central cutlery drawer flanked to one side by a deep drawer over a shallow cupboard and to the other by a shallow drawer over a deep drawer, raised on tapering square legs ending in spade feet, h. 36-1/2", w. 73-1/2", d. 29-1/2". Provenance: The Estate of Karolyn Kuntz Westervelt, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: The arched apron below the central drawer is loose along the top edge and needs to be re-glued or have glue blocks added to the back side. There are old filled shrinkage cracks to the sides. A small veneer chip to the lower left drawer front. Old dings, veneer shrinkage, etc., consistent with age and use. Some dryness to the feet. Nice subtle color and good patina.
