  • Condition: In overall good condition, exhibiting some past restoration, normal shrinkage, mars and wears including a couple shallow scrapes to the top, beneath the finish. The case is tight and stable. It is in three pieces: cornice, bookcase top and base. There are three missing blocks to the dentilated cornice molding. Four panes of glass in the upper drawers are cracked/broken. There is a missing piece of straight ebony molding alongside the glazing, two of which sections are present, and about 1" is missing. The interior of the back is lined in moire. The lock for the upper bookcase is currently thrown; the key is not functional. There are losses to the ebonized cock beading on the perimeter of the drawer, about 3-1/2" on the top, and 2" and 1-1/2" on the bottom. Both sides of the base cabinet exhibit vertical shrinkage separations at the point where boards are laminated together.
