George III Mahogany Tea Table, late 18th century, the oval top with a full spindled gallery, raised on a turned baluster-form standard to three splayed legs ending in pad feet, h. 26", w. 27", d. 20-3/4".

  • Condition: In overall good condition. The piece has been polished and waxed in the past, now with minor scrapes and mars from use, and some blemishes and scratches to the top beneath the surface. The gallery on the top exhibits two breaks to the top rail, and as one would expect, evidence of a few past breaks now repaired. The base is tight and sturdy, with no play where the legs meet the pedestal. There is evidence of a past repair where one leg joins the pedestal.
