George III-Style Mahogany Chest

early 20th century, the rectangular top above a conforming case fitted with four graduated long drawers, raised above a gadrooned apron on ogee-molded legs ending in ball-and-claw feet.

  • Condition: **In overall very good condition, with only a few scratches and mars to the finish.

    Tight and solid.

    The top is flat and straight. There is one tight shrinkage crack in the top, extending about 10" in from the end.

    Drawers slide freely. The upper drawer has wooden dividers, a few of which are presently out of their slots. Locks are present; key is not.
