George V Sterling Silver Drinks Tray, hallmarked London, 1913-1914, by Lionel Alfred Crichton, of rectangular form with molded rim and in-peaked corners, with molded handles en suite, engraved with the arms of Kavanaugh of Borris House and Grace of Gracefield for the heirs of Morgan Kavanagh (1765-1806) and Alicia Grace (1769-1854), l. 18-1/2", w. 10", 44.08 t. oz.


  • Condition: Light surface scratches throughout, along with the expected minor abrasions commensurate with age and use, but no significant condition issues noted. Some minor black spotting around the perimeter. Well-engraved armorial, lightly worn, but with no loss of detail to the hatching. Hallmarked (on the underside) with: 1) the London leopard's head; 2) the sterling lion passant; 3) the date letter "s" for 1913-1914; and 4) the "LAC" maker's mark of L. A. Crichton; marks excellent. Additionally stamped "Crichton Bros. / New York & London".
