German Bronze of "Die Trinkende", first quarter 20th century, patinated bronze, after Victor Heinrich Seifert (German, 1870-1953), incised signature "Prof V. H. Seifert" along base, h. 25", w. 7-3/4", d. 9". Provenance: Estate of Louis Tenenbaum, Houston, Texas.


  • Condition: In generally good condition. Scattered nicks and abrasions, especially upper proper right arm, under arm, left elbow, back, right hip. Several scratches at right side of back. Small nicks on left back and left buttock. Areas of oxidation at upper right arm and in hair. Areas of darkening/discoloration of patination. Golden brown patina. All consistent with age, material and usage.
