Good Old Baltimore Standard (.917) Silver Teapot, second quarter 19th century, by Andrew Ellicott Warner (1786-1870), of squat inverted pear shape, decorated in the round with repousse flowers and scrolls on a matte ground with opposing putto-mantled cartouches, with short "gooseneck" spout, crested "C"-scroll handle, domed lid and figural recumbent stag finial, h. 7", l. 10-3/4", w. 6-1/4", 36.57 t. oz., presented on a later, unmarked and possibly silver plate stand with burner, h. 5-5/8" (with teapot, h. 12-1/4").


  • Condition: In overall very good condition. Exceptional teapot with very slight wear consistent with age. Added hinges to the base of the teapot to fit the later base. The base has some slight tarnishing and shrinkage cracks to the feet and handles.
