Good Regency Rosewood Recamier, first quarter 19th century, one end with an outscrolled back and partial shaped back, the other lower end also outscrolled, raised on large toupie feet headed by an ormolu gadroon capital and ending in brass caps and casters, the whole elaborately inlaid in brass scrolling foliate patterns, h. 33", w. 27", l. 81".

  • Condition: The bare frame is presently tight with the legs firmly affixed. There are some areas of missing brass inlay, most notably two leaves at the top of the taller scroll, and two spots on the front apron where voids in brass are visible in catalogue photos. The "foot" return exhibits two similar losses to brass inlay. The apron on the taller scroll side is missing a panel that may have included brass inlay. Scattered veneer losses, including some losses on the taller scroll, and losses to about half of the outer rings of the lower roundels. Extensive use of filler between and surrounding the brass inlay.
