  • Condition: **In overall very good condition. One foot has a small crack on the underside where it has been slightly dented, but otherwise no dents, breaks or repairs noted. Bottles are probably later replacements, skillfully mated with the silver fittings, all of which (but for one caster cap) are original to the set. Glass elements with some nicks and flea bites, and some minor chipping on the diamond pattern where the bottles are held in the receptacles, but no cracks or large chips. Fully hallmarked (on the underside of the base) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London crowned leopard's head; 3) the date letter "b" for 1817-1818; 4) the George III bust duty mark; and 5) the "SH/SR/ED" maker's mark of Hougham, Royes & Dix. The upper part of the frame, the jar inner lids and collars, and the cayenne bottle cap, collar and spoon all identically part-marked. The caster cap marked "NH" three times.
