Good Victorian Sterling Silver Gilt Fruit Stand, hallmarked Sheffield, 1874-1875, by the Fenton Brothers, comprising two graduated lobed circular bowls with beaded rims and decorated with repousse fruit and floral swags, joined by a waisted standard and surmounted by a pyr finial and raised on four floral-crested rococo scroll feet, engraved with a crest of an eagle rising within a nimbus, overall h. 14-3/4", dia. 12-1/4", 53.32 t. oz.


  • Condition: No condition issues noted beyond the expected signs of age and use: light surface scrapes and bumps and some wear to the gilding at the highest relief and scattered oxidation spots. Hallmarked (on both bowls) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the Sheffield crown; 3) the date letter "G" for 1874-1875; 4) the Victoria's bust duty mark; and 5) the "JFF/&FF" maker's mark of Fenton Brothers; the standard part-marked.
