Group of Three Chinese Paintings


  • Condition: Pair of ancestral paintings - Both paintings have some spotting, soiling, foxing and discoloration throughout, as well as scuffing to the wooden mounts. One has some old restoration efforts visible near the top of the mount. It also has some visible repairs to the painting near the bottom edge of the image. Some under-drawing is visible and there are a couple of small tears in the silk and paper mount. The second ancestral painting has a tiny hole in the lower left corner, repairs and losses throughout, particularly on the blue-robed figure in the front row and across the top and bottom of the painting. Evidence of water damage on the mount and lower part of the painting, a large rip in the upper right corner of the mount. Scroll depicting two fish - Frays, tears, and spots of discoloration and soiling to the mount. Darkening to the paper and some fading to the colors. A small tear visible next to the red fish. Scuffing to wooden mounts.
