Handel Patinated Bronze and Slag Glass Table Lamp in the Art Nouveau Taste, first quarter 20th century, Massachusetts, the tapered base signed "Handel" and molded with an Art Nouveau fret, the paneled shade decorated with a molded landscape of palm trees and mottled mauve and green glass over an Art Nouveau fret set with mottled green glass, h. 26", dia. 21".

  • Condition: The base and shade are original to each other. Two of the curved glass panels have a crack, which is hidden behind the metal overlay filigree. Two of the green border panels of glass have cracks as well. The frame of the shade has some looseness. It appears that six of the lower corner joints of the shade have been soldered to hold the shade together. There is a metal "Handel" label soldered to the inside of the shade. Beautiful when lit. Great surface patina to the metal.
