  • Provenance: The Estate of Bonnie Bolding Swearingen, Birmingham, Alabama.
  • Notes: A figurative painter of Moroccan military horses and their riders, Hassan el Galoui was born to the last Pacha of Marrakesh, Thami el Galoui. He credited Winston Churchill for convincing his powerful father to allow him to pursue painting. After a long career and successful exhibition history, spanning three continents, in early 2012, his paintings were exhibited along with the famous Prime Minister Churchill's works of Marrakesh at Leighton House Museum in London.
