Henri II Oak Cabinet

late 19th century, the broken triangular pediment above a foliate and military trophee-carved frieze, over two doors, each with a glazed upper section and a lower carved panel, over a long drawer with lion's head pull, raised on block feet.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. The piece exhibits normal shrinkage, mars and wear consistent with age and use.

    The assembled case is tight and sturdy.

    Doors open and close freely. Functional lock and key are present. The interior includes three shelves, one of which is missing one of the crossbars that slips into the sawtooth support.

    Two side panels have vertical shrinkage cracks.

    Of bolt-together construction, the sides detach from the top and base, as do the crest and finials.
