Condition: **In "as found" estate condition. Scattered surface scratches and losses. Stretcher marks. Looseness of un-relined canvas within stretcher. Bottom edge appears over-cleaned and inscription may be of later date. Evidence of past restoration: scattered areas of inpainting throughout. Some craquelure. Overall surface soiling and darkening and dulling of varnish layer.
