Italian School (18th Century), "Madonna and Child with St. Charles Borromeo", oil on canvas, unsigned, 36-1/4" x 24-5/8". Framed.
- Condition: Slight buckling at the lower bottom of the canvas just above and below the stretcher is present with heavy craquelure and some resultant losses to pigment and canvas ground. Stretcher marks, craquelure and minor flaking are also scattered throughout. Under UV light, previous signs of restoration were observed - re-varnishing and light inpainting to buckled area and lower right edge. Light surface soiling and blooming (clouding to varnish) are also present.
