Japanese Cloisonne Charger and Chinese Cloisonne Jardiniere

both pieces first half 20th century, the large charger with slightly flared lip and raised foot, decorated in colorful enamels with two shishi chasing each other near blossoming foliage, with a butterfly hovering overhead, all within foliate-motif borders, the reverse with three individual floral and foliate cartouches, on a blue ground with dense scroll pattern, dia. 24-1/4", the jardiniere with opposing panels containing five-claw dragons, the surround interspersed with flowers and butterflies, h. 7", w. 14", d. 10".


  • Condition: **In very good condition. No losses to enamel other than scattered losses on bottom of jardiniere. Patination to bronze elements.
