Large, Exuberant Pair of Franco-Bohemian Porcelain Fan Vases

mid-19th century, the Rococo Revival vases decorated with tinted parian sculpted birds and hand-painted panels, one depicting a family outside with a dog and a burro, and the other a mother bathing her children, molded with gilt leaves, all decorated with a ground of gilt flowers.

Provenance: The Estate of Frank Fasullo, New Orleans, Louisiana.


  • Condition: **In overall good condition. Each with wear to gilt at top border and subsequent gilt paint restoration; one vase with a repair across back of neck. One with wear to base gilt and subsequent paint re-gilt. Lower right brown and yellow bird with restoration to one wing tip and tail feathers. One vase with restoration/repaint to one leaf on left side. The other with repair/repaint to one leaf edge and three segments of vine.
