Large Pair of Turned "Napoleon Tigre" Marble Pedestals

ca. 1900, quarried from Ferques, Boulogne-sur-Mer, Pas-de-Calais, France, named after the place where Napoleon camped and trained his troops for the invasion of Great Britain.
h. 50", dia. 16"

  • Condition: **The top of one has a small chip to the edge. Both have some damage to their turned ring just above the base. There are loose pieces present that need to be glued back in place. There are also small areas of losses to this ring. One base has a section of the corner knocked off but the piece is present.

NOTE: The pedestals come apart in two pieces but are extremely heavy and the repairs should only be done once they are set up together and in place.
