Large Victorian Sterling Silver Goblet, hallmarked London, 1886-1887, by Charles Stuart Harris (1830-1918), the ovoid body with gadrooned lower half, above a waisted stem with broad annulated knop and a trumpeting gadrooned and annulated base, h. 10-5/8", dia. 4-1/2", 13.26 t. oz.


  • Condition: Overall Condition: Good. Scattered pinpoint dings and some light surface scuffs, all commensurate with age and use. Otherwise, no dents, breaks or repairs noted. No inscription/monogram or evidence of any removals. Hallmarked (on body, near the rim) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London leopard's head; 3) the date letter "L" for 1886-1887; 4) the Victoria bust duty mark; and 5) the "CSH" in a trefoil maker's mark of C. S. Harris. Hallmarks rubbed and faint but discernible.
