Lithographed Tin "Hercules" Toy Ferris Wheel

ca. 1930-1950, New York, now mounted as a lamp, made by the J. Chein Company, the wind-up toy featuring sideshow freaks on the lower side panels, mounted with a shade.
h. 15-1/4", w. 16-1/4", d. 16-1/4"

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. Has key for crank. One car slightly sticks, but otherwise the wheel and tin cars all move on their axes. There are losses and soiling to the tole paint, mostly to edges. Corners and edges of Ferris wheel base (where it attaches to wood plinth) have light oxidation/rust. Shade is of a later period and intact.
