fourth quarter 19th century, the rectangular surround lined with rocaille work, the corners lined in scrollwork, the crest decorated with a seashell and trimmed with flowerheads, and the lower edge with pierced rocaille work.

  • Condition: **Typical scattered surface cracking, small patches and rubbing to gilt.
    Crest with a small loss to tip of center leaf.
    Right rocaille "ear" with restoration at the outer loop.
    General professional restoration at this side from just above middle and down into the lower rocaille corner.
