  • Condition: **In good restored condition. The piece has been stripped and refinished. It exhibits normal shrinkage, abrasions and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces consistent with age and use.

    Sturdy and tight.

The marble top is a later replacement. It is in good condition with no apparent breaks or repairs.

In addition to normal chips to the edges of carved surfaces, more notable losses include a loss of a tip to a ribbon-carving just beneath the apron, and a loss at the end of one of the central floral-carved swags. The base of the finial has been broken and repaired.
