early 20th century, the back crest with a carved bowknot and laurel leaves, the curved frame with a central oval padded panel in the back, raised on stop-fluted tapering turned legs, completely upholstered in floral needlepoint.

  • Condition: Tight solid and sturdy. There is scattered minor rubbing, losses and abrasions to the gilt.

    The upholstery shows very well. No notable staining. There is a line of looseness in the weave and wear about 10" back from the front of the seat cushion. The cording on the front edge of the cushion is worn through in spots. There is a panel of upholstery on the reverse side of the back that is presently detached on three sides. It is not done in needlework.
