late 19th century, the superstructure fitted with a marble top within a three-quarter pierced brass gallery over three short drawers, the roll top banded, quarter-veneered and centered by a floral medallion, opening to a pull-out baize writing surface and three small drawers, over a long drawer, raised on tapering square legs ending in caps.

  • Condition: **In good "as found" condition.

    The case is tight and sturdy, with normal minor mars, wear and abrasions, most notably to the edges of the legs.

    The top's brass gallery is bent down at one front corner, and somewhat inward on one side. The marble top has a fore-aft break, with some attendant minor flakes along that line, and another crack with small flakes at its ends.

    Top functions freely. One interior door lacks its stop. Stains to interior felt writing surface.

    Locks present; no key.
