Louis XVI-Style Kingwood Bureau Plat, late 19th century, the ormolu-bound rectangular top with an inset leather surface, above a frieze fitted with a central drawer flanked to one side by two small drawers and to the other by a single deep drawer, the other side with the same faux arrangement, all with lattice-pattern veneers, raised on banded tapering square legs ending in caps, h. 30", w. 59", d. 31-1/2".


  • Condition: Structurally sound. The mounts intact with most of their gilding. The leather top with patina and shrinkage lines, but intact. Minor shrinkage to one side. Kneehole with tiny veneer loss on one side; repair to veneer under one drawer.
