Louis XVI-Style Mahogany and Marble-Top Center Table
early 20th century, the circular marble top within a full pierced brass gallery, above a conforming frieze fitted with two leather-inset slides and two small drawers, raised on tapering square legs ending in brass caps.

Condition: **In overall very good condition. Exhibits light wear, and indications of age and use.
All legs are tightly affixed to the apron.
The marble top is a later replacement. It sits just a bit higher than the brass gallery .
No losses to marquetry inlay noted. There is one veneer chip to the banding at the base of the apron, about 3/8" wide .
Drawers and one slide function smoothly. One slide binds when opened and closed.
NOTE: A maker's metal plate inside one of the drawers reads: Ameublements Mercier Freres 100 Faubourg St Antoine Paris.
