Meissen Porcelain Figure of the Goddess Minerva

ca. 1850-1924, German, Minerva assisted by cupids, a globe to one side and a shield to the other, wearing a distinctive "Goddess of War" helmet, with underglaze blue crossed swords marks, an impressed "145" and an incised "D.2".

  • Condition: **In generally very good condition.
    Her raised hand with loss to tip of thumb and lacking the spear.
    Putto at globe with rubbed areas under the outer arm, side and belly, along with a crescent hairline at front of neck and loss to tips of the calipers. Putto at rear lacking tips of three digits.
