Neo-Renaissance Carved Oak Figural Sideboard, in the Manner of R. J. Horner

late 19th/early 20th century, the top with a molded edge, projecting at the center and corners, over narrow drawers with leonine-masque-carved pulls, flanking a pair of drawers with griffin-, foliate- and urn-carved panels, the small drawers over full-figured Atlantes supports flanking doors with exuberantly carved panels with full-figured putti.

  • Condition: **In very good refinished and restored condition.

    The piece is tight and very solid, exhibiting absolutely no movement when vigorously shaken.

    There are customary minor chips and flakes to the edges of carved surfaces, but no notable losses observed. There is about a 3" crack in one of the projecting sections of the top over the pilasters. The crack does not extend across that section.

    Locks and functional keys present.

    The feet are approximately 3-7/8" high.
