Neoclassical Giltwood Tabernacle Mirror

first quarter 19th century, probably American, with a projecting cornice decorated with spherules, the tablet with a carefully detailed shell, flanked by turned pilasters decorated with multiple ring turnings.

  • Condition: **Mirror has been re-gilded. There are some light shrinkage cracks at the miters, some have been filled/over-gilded. Glass is intact. Wood elements exhibit a few light scattered scuffs and nicks. Condition is commensurate with age and use.
