Nine Pieces of Measham "Bargeware" Pottery

  • Condition: In very good condition and clearly of the period. The gallon-sized teapot has scattered chips to the sawtooth border, minor losses to the interior cover flange, and two minor flakes to the foot rim. One jug has a short hairline on the presentation plaque, but it is associated with a firing crack. The kettle has a possible repair to the lower spout lid, and the round teapot has a possible restoration to the lid, but they do not show up under black light examination. The teapot with the teapot knop has some abrasion where the cover notches in. It is signed "Mason Cash and Co., Church Gresley".
