  • Condition: **None of the rings have any maker's or purity markings and, while all but one appear to be solid silver and not silverplate, this cannot be guaranteed and are they not offered with any warranty of silver content. The weight (excluding the one known to be silverplate) is 9.80 total t. oz.; but again, these are sold without any guarantee regarding silver content or purity. The obviously silverplate example (with the Elizabethan medallion) shows losses and peeling to the silver plate with exposed base gray metal around the edges, the monogram and the high relief of the decoration. All the others show normal signs of wear with loss of detail to most of the medallions, but the lack of exposed base metal suggests, as noted, that they are not plated. The Minerva medallion is slightly crimped on one end of the band, and the trapezoidal band ring has a small dent at one corner. In all, a nice grouping with some signs of age.
