Painted and Parcel-Gilt Chandelier
20th century, in the provincial style, with a bold turned, gilt-trimmed and marbleized standard, the arms decorated with molded leaves and set with large urn-form giltwood candle holders.

Condition: **Four of the bobeches and three of the acanthi arms have been repaired/filled, some with gilded touch-ups. Chandelier standard, bobeches and arms exhibit scattered shrinkage cracks, nicks and minor chips throughout. Condition suggests that the chandelier was likely comprised of older wood elements that are more consistent with early 20th century, and possibly late 19th century. Paint and wiring are newer. Condition of the giltwood is commensurate with age and use.
