Pair of Austrian Biedermeier Silver Candlesticks
1817, Vienna, by Karl Sedelmayer (master 1797; died 1840), 13 lot (.813) silver, each with a waisted standard with reeded band above a trumpeted foot and surmounted by an urn-form nozzle with circular drip-pan.

Condition: **Both candlesticks have a very slight wobble but are entirely stable; one candlestick is a few degrees out of vertical. Otherwise a very attractive pair with no significant condition issues beyond surface wear commensurate with age. Each marked (on the underside) with the Austrian date/standard mark, the "KS" maker's mark of Karl Sedelmayer, and the "VR" duty mark.
