Pair of Austrian Porcelain Covered Garniture Urns

ca. 1890-1918, probably Josef Riedl, decorated with raised gilt on a cranberry ground, with hand-painted scenes after Angelica Kauffman, and identified on the base, marked with a "beehive" signed "Austria".

  • Condition: **In overall very good condition with no notable losses or repairs. There is a small surface chip to the inside rim on one lid. Both urns exhibit losses to gilding on handles and knops. Both have been re-bolted/secured on pedestal bases and are slightly misaligned/uneven.
