Pair of Chinese Porcelain Ginger Jars, probably Republic period (1912-1949), each decorated with a scene of a court lady and her handmaiden in a garden, the reverses inscribed, each with a carved wooden stand, vase, h. 8", dia. 8".


  • Condition: Scattered firing anomalies and light wear to the surface of each vase. A few tiny nicks around the lip and foot of each vase. Seal marks on the underside of each jar are faded and no longer legible. No cracks or evidence of restoration. Overall wear is minor and consistent with the age, material and display of the jars.
