Pair of Chinese Porcelain Temple Jars 19th century, the two large vessels enameled in a famille rose palette, the reserves with arrangements of birds and flowers, the undersides marked with an underglaze blue six-character Kangxi reign (1662-1722) mark, h. 22-1/2", w. 11".


  • Condition: Scattered firing anomalies and wear to surface enamels on each vessel. Each lid has losses to the enamels and discoloration and craquelure to the rim. One lid has a small area of crackling and flaking that can be felt to the touch. Each jar has some craquelure along the meander on its shoulder and a few light abrasions to the surface. The pair does not appear to have been repaired or restored.
