Pair of Chinese Porcelain Vases Converted to Table Lamps

Republic period (1912-1949), each of baluster form with flared lip and pierced "butterfly" handles, one example decorated with scenes of women playing traditional musical instruments, with Guanyin riding a phoenix above, the other depicting figures in a garden setting, both examples with inscriptions to the reverse, and mounted on hardwood stands with a single bulb fixture.

  • Condition: **In overall good condition. All four handles have significant wear to gilded surfaces. One vase has a 2" tight hairline running with upper rim down on each side. No chips or restorations, and no additional cracks.
