  • Condition: **HAND TO HEAD:
Area of hairlines at rear side of the left handle, one with 1/4" area of filler, near where the handle attaches to the body. An old spider hairline visible on the interior on this side. Figural reserve with restoration at upper left half and mid-right side within the headboard. A tiny surface nick above her hip and one within the gold drapery. There is tiny glaze speckling down her nose. No obvious restoration to the floral reserve.
    OTHER EXAMPLE:
Long diagonal cracks as well as vertical and horizontal cracks of various sizes with old restorations throughout. All stabilized long ago.

Both examples with typical scattered oxidation to the gilt-bronze mounts and rubbing to the parcel-gilt decoration.
This pair originally had porcelain covers and bases.
    No marks are visible underneath.
