second quarter 19th century, hand-painted with baskets of flowers on one side and baskets of fruit on the other, against a gilt-trimmed cobalt ground, complete with liners.

  • Condition: **In overall good estate condition. The rim, side and basin of one liner have been professionally repaired and overglazed. The other liner has a horizontal hairline and a spiderweb-form crack. The rim on one cover has been repaired with traces of resultant hairline cracks. The loop handle on one cover has been regilded and probably repaired at base with an adhesive. Foot rims and cover rims have scratches and abrading, and there is rubbing/wear to gilding scattered throughout both coolers. Condition is commensurate with age and utilitarian use.
