Pair of French Gilt-Bronze Chenets in the Louis XVI Style

first quarter 20th century, with lapis-colored finials mounted with laurel ring pulls and plume-molded finials, the bases decorated with classical masques on lapis-colored grounds and supported on tapering square feet.

  • Condition: **The base of one chenet is lacking a pine cone finial. The base of the other one has a related pine cone finial replacement that is similar but shorter in height. Urn on same chenet is loose. Both chenets exhibit nicks, scratches, accretions and wear to gilding.
