Pair of French Restauration Patinated Bronze Six-Light Candelabra, second quarter 19th century, now mounted as lamps, on gilt paw feet, the bases molded with putti supporting the Corinthian column standards, with oil lamp-form candle holders hung with chains, overall, h. 38-3/4", dia. 8-1/4".

  • Condition: In overall good condition. No visible losses or repairs. The bronze circular bases on each central candle have five small holes, which may have at one point held additional mounts or chains. Two of the acanthus mounts above the paw feet are slightly bent outward from the bases. There are light accretions and oxidation throughout, which is to be expected with age and use. The five candles are fitted with electrical sockets, but are lacking wiring. The two light sockets at the top have been rewired, but the cord needs to be fitted with a plug.
