Pair of George III Sterling Silver Goblets

hallmarked London, 1793-1794, by Joseph Preedy, each with an ovoid bowl with pricked, threaded banding at the rim and base and decorated with opposing engraved and bright-cut-mantled navette cartouches, the interior gilt, raised on a waisted stem banded en suite above a square plinth base.

  • Condition: In generally good condition, with no dents, breaks or repairs noted. Evidence of monogram/crest removal on the cartouches, with some thinning (though not structurally threatening). Moderate wear the the pricked/bright-cut detail. Gilding good. Each fully and identically hallmarked on the underside; the marks in superlative, near-pristine condition.
