Pair of Italian Baroque-Style Giltwood Mirrors
first quarter 20th century, the pierced surround carved with scrollwork and flowerheads over mirror inserts, the crest decorated with a carved basket of flowers framed with scrollwork, resting on rocaille-carved feet.

Condition: **In good distressed condition, with some intentional distressing of the gilt, together with what are probably additional gilt losses. Areas of shrinkage revealing lines where wood was glued together.
Both mirrors exhibit a loss to the carved element at the very tip of the crest.
Mirror plates are quite clear and crisp.
