Pair of Large Franco-Bohemian Hand-Painted Porcelain Fan Vases, mid-19th century, now mounted as lamps, with hand-painted flowers on a mauve ground, framed with molded and pierced vine-and-berry "handles", with like decoration at the top, impressed "100" on the bottom, each resting on painted and parcel-gilt lamp stands, mounted with shades, overall, h. 38-1/2", dia. 18".

  • Condition: 1" to 1-3/4" "chipping" along both vase foot rims (not wooden bases). The flower tip on one vase handle has been glued back on and there is a 1/2" loss to the scalloped foliate rim on the same vase with new gilding applied to the edge. On the other vase, the back crest on the foliate scalloped rim has been professionally repaired and overglazed/painted. Minor wear to gilding is also present, notably to the circular feet. Painted reserves and grounds of vases are intact. Damages/repairs to the foliage are quite difficult to see without feeling the edges. Height of vases is 23" and height with stands is 24-1/2".
