Pair of Late Victorian Cased Sterling Silver Berry Spoons

hallmarked London, 1896-1897, by George Maudsley Jackson, each in a flat-handled variant of the traditional "Ornamental Elizabethan" pattern, the gilt bowl decorated with repousse fruit and "C"-scrolls and with scalloped edge, presented in the original plum velvet- and satin-lined case, l. 11-1/2", w. 6-1/2".

  • Condition: **Spoons in very good condition with no issues noted; crisp detail, bright gilding. Fully hallmarked on the underside of the stem. The case has a 1/4" wide, 5-1/4" long strip of leather missing along the front edge, with a few other minor scuffs and losses; the interior is clean with some worn nap on the velvet and a 1" tear on the satin where the edge of a spoon bowl has worn it through.
