Pair of Louis-Philippe Giltwood Oval Mirrors

mid-19th century, each with a pierced crest decorated with a pair of lovebirds framed by trailing flowers, the surround with a border of molded leaves and a ribbon-wrapped reed, the bottom with pierced laurel leaves, set with beveled mirror plates.

  • Condition: **In overall very good condition, each with a well-preserved gilt surface with normal minor rubbing, some shrinkage cracks in the gesso and wear.

    The beveled mirror plates are generally crisp and clear, with a few small imperfections.

    There is a loss of a leaf on the lower carving of one mirror. The missing element is about 2-1/2" long and 1" wide.
