Pair of Louis XV-Style Gilt-Bronze and Cut Crystal Potpourri Urns

20th century, possibly Baccarat, the inverted pear-shaped urns decorated with diamond-point cutting and mounted with bronze bases, swan's neck handles and swags of oak leaves, the pierced necks set with bronze covers.

Provenance: Estate of Audry and Sherwood Bailey, Sr., Pass Christian, Mississippi.


  • Condition: **One example is gilt-bronze, the other polished bronze - both with scattered surface oxidation. Nice casting with lots of detail.
    One example with a tiny replaced ball at the small bow at top, both sides. The glass with an elliptical stress crack (approx. 3" x 1-1/2") with tiny adjacent flakes at side of and underneath one handle where it attaches to glass. Two swags loose but in place.
