Pair of Louis XVI-Style Polychrome Fauteuils, late 19th century, each with a padded domed back surmounted by a floral crest, joined by padded scrolling arms to the cushioned seat, raised on stop-fluted tapering circular legs headed by floral capitals and ending in toupie feet, h. 40".

  • Condition: In good "as found" condition. Both exhibit scrapes, mars, abrasions and losses to their painted surfaces, most notably to the legs and perimeter edges, creating a nice patina. Normal shrinkage and indications of age and use. The legs of the chairs appear to be tight and solid. One arm has a very small amount of side-to-side play. In functional condition as is. The upholstery is worn, with some stains, and sagging of the seat cushions.
